Mutation are of two types:-
1.Spontaneous and induced mutation.
2.Somatic and germline mutation:-
a).Somatic:-
somatic cells are present are in our skin.somatic mutation is non heritable.
b).Germline mutation:
Germ cells cause gene mutation.it is heritable.heritble means it can be transfered for one generation to the other.
3.Mutation based upon functions:-
a)Morphological:-
Morphological affects the external charactertics of a individual.
b)Lethal mutation:-
Lethal mutation mutation affect the survival of an individual.example:-Haemophilia(blood cancer).
c)Regulatory mutation:-
In such type of mutation individual looses the expression of gene.
d)Biochemical mutation:-
Affects the produts substances synthesize by cells.
4.Chromosomal and gene mutation
